Culinary Competitor provides healthy recipes for athletes that are committed to their performance, but still want to retain a little bit of lifestyle in their competitive pursuits. CC is built on the foundation that athletes can eat more than pre-packaged bars and artificially flavored drinks. An active lifestyle requires a balanced approach to nutrition, and the only way to achieve that balance is through quality recipes made with real food.
Our goal is to debunk the idea that pre-race meals and recipes for athletes must be boring and bland. Our recipes are designed to help you reach optimum fitness, and contain a balanced ratio of carbohydrates, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
Our food does not attain its quality through the technique and preparation that make other “gourmet” recipes complicated and unapproachable. We know that more than anything else, fresh and seasonal foods lead to high-quality and flavorful dishes. We do not condone a “foodier than thou” attitude, and do not think anyone should have to contend with pinot swirling preachers. We like good food because it is good food, and think that fitness minded people deserve quality recipes, too.
With the all the hours you spend training each month, and the importance you place on your health and fitness, do not sell yourself short with flavorless food or poor nutrition. Eat well. Race hard.
